Food was great! I ordered the Sake Don, they are generous with the quantity of salmon they give you. They also have uni in stock! Super impressed. Can't find uni anywhere in SoCal these days so I was happy to see it here.
I also ordered the tonkatsu ramen. The flavor of the broth was good. The only suggestion I've have for this dish is for them to cook the noodle separately. I think they cooked the noodles in the broth, because the broth had the slimy noodle texture.
I think this establishment could improve on the ambiance. Play some music or have some more enthusiasm in the service.
Other than that, the food here is good! -

I'm more than fair on my reviews with Business owners if restaurants as evident from my reviews. Unfortunately, I had such a bad food experience from this joint that I can not mask it anymore. Walking into the restaurant I noticed that there were no air conditioning and it was unusually warm. I fat at the bar and touch the glass where they keep the fish and noticed it was warm as well. I'm not sure how they pass health department inspection. I got nervous about ordering sushi so I went for a cooked Bento box.
The miso soup was hot and delicious.Within minutes of serving myself I got my bento box which In itself was a surprise. The teriyaki chicken I was served was steamed it dies without any spices and I could still smell the raw chicken. I could not bear to eat the food due to the strong smell of the steamed or boiled chicken thighs. I did not get any ginger the sushi.
That's why I gave it a one star! -

Affordable and decent sushi rolls with great service (especially if you are Korean lol- I have the privilege). Three of us went there for Friday lunch and we got seated right away. We ordered three different rolls and I think the Hon Sushi roll was the biggest but also the best. I was debating whether I should get Korean chirashi but I am glad I did not because the portion looked REALLY big (not that there is anything wrong with that tho lol).
We initially spoke in English but after the lady (really sweet :)) overheard us speaking in Korean and knew we are Koreans, she brought out free salmon sashimi and dumplings. It was REALLY sweet of them :)
Will be def back for their Korean chirashi -

Food poisoning 7 hours after eating there. I suspect the shrimp. Enough said.
Not a pleasant atmosphere, service, or after effects.
